What cleaning method do you use?We use a Hot Water Extraction system (otherwise known as steam cleaning). The actual process will vary depending on each job. Typically we start with a pre-vacuum to remove any loose soil and dirt, and this also helps us spot any stains and start soaking them so they have the best chance of lifting. We then choose a chemical based on the type of fabric and its condition, and use that to pre-spray the area. Next, we agitate these sprayed areas to help break up dirt and soil, before finished with a full hot water clean which not only cleans the area but rinses away dirt and leaves the carpet or fabric looking, feeling and smelling fresh.

How long does it take to dry?Typically we aim to get carpets and upholstery dry within 3-4 hours but drying times will depend on a few different factors. The type of carpet or fabric can have a big effect on drying time, and outside humidity and temperature will also be an important factor. Drying time will often be much faster on a warm dry day, but we’re happy to offer advice when we know more about your particular cleaning job.

How do you quote jobs?We try to give a remote quote by email or over the phone where possible, and we recommend you send us some photos of the areas or items that need cleaning. When contacting us, please give as much information about the job as possible as we need to consider all factors, such as if we are moving furniture or simply cleaning traffic areas, whether you have pets, the general condition of the carpet/items etc. We can also visit you to quote and sometimes we recommend this if it's a more complicated job. Quotes are based on how long we’ll spend at the job and the materials needed to complete it.

Do you remove pet hair?We have various tools and solutions to remove pet hair and in most cases this can be done successfully. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee we can fully remove all hair as in some scenarios it’s not possible.

Will you remove all stains?We use a variety of spotters and chemicals to remove stains and will always try our hardest to remove them. However, some stains simply can’t be lifted as they have already fully set and are permanent, and removing them could cause damage to the fabric. We will explain this to you before we proceed with cleaning.

What chemicals do you use?We mainly use the Prochem range of professional chemicals which are the leading manufacturer and supplier to the carpet and upholstery industry. These chemicals are family safe and non-toxic. We also use wool safe chemicals for delicate fabrics.

What payment methods do you accept?We take cash, card or bank transfer. We ask for payment on completion or if you need to be invoiced please discuss this first to be arranged.

How do I book?In order to book, first we need some job details from you so we can provide you with a quote. The best way to do this is to complete our online form, including a good description of the job and supporting photos to help us understand how long we’ll need to spend. We will then get back to you with some available days and times, and if you wish to go ahead you can just confirm a slot that suits you. We also don’t take a deposit, so no need to worry about that.

Do I need to pre vacuum?This is not always necessary as we may still need to pre vacuum using our specialist machine but we are always grateful for any preparation you can do before we arrive.

Do you move furniture?While furniture moving isn’t a service we offer, we will assist you in moving furniture to ensure we can clean under it. This is at no extra cost, and we’ll also help move it back when we’re finished too. We always suggest that clients remove items off and out of furniture before we arrive, such as plants, electronics, lamps, and anything else that could be damaged when moving. Please keep in mind there are several items we will not move, including but not limited to pianos, china cabinets, dressers with mirrors, TV’s and other electronics, pool tables and any large, heavy or awkward to move furniture.
